What this page is for

Do the common things

Export all your data

  1. Open Settings, then Data.
  2. Click Export all data.
  3. When it is ready, download the ZIP. It has one CSV per table and your uploaded files. Passwords and secrets are left out.

Remove one customer's personal details

  1. Open the client record and use the anonymise option.
  2. Their name and contact details are removed. Invoices and totals stay so your books still add up.

Control how long things are kept

  1. Open Settings, then Data, and read the retention rules.
  2. Location history from the phone app is kept for 90 days.

See who looked at what

  1. The Data page has an access log of who viewed customer pages.

Delete your company

  1. On the Data page, start company deletion. There is a cooling-off period, and you can cancel in it.

What you must tell people

  • Engineers agree to location sharing the first time they open the phone app.
  • Customers see your privacy notice. The legal pages on the sign-in page are kept up to date by Trade Sure.
  • Texts, WhatsApp and marketing emails go only to people who allow them.

If something looks wrong

  • An export failed: try again. If it fails twice, contact support.
  • A customer asks you to delete their data: anonymise them and tell them it is done.
